On June 29th, we met for the very first time in Mandan ND and have been together ever since. Larry was visiting his cousin, Dale Heck, who happened to live next door to Glorine and now the rest is history. We celebrated this big event by dining out at a burger joint in downtown Ajijic, which happened to be filled with US and Canadian license plates. It was fitting that a North Dakota plate was hanging on the wall just left of Glorine.

We attended a 250th USA Anniversary celebration where expats working with local non-profits were recognized by the Mayor of Chapala. This including our favorite group known as the Lake Chapala Society.	Concert in the Park was another big hit with a local boy gone great. Luis Sanchez grew up in Ajijic and sang with the Ajijic Mariachi Band and is now playing the lead role in Malinche the Musical in Mexico City.
Here we are volunteering to pick up recycling products in our neighborhood of El Parque. It is easy to spot where the partiers live, as we picked up dozens of wine bottles and cases of beer cans. It was easy and fun.	We first met David and Karina on a Christmas tour of Mexico City in 2014. Here we are having another great get together at the Tango Restaurant with a view of Lake Chapala.
We just met Rob and Lorraine, sun birds from Florida, getting out of the extreme heat. They met Larry at Everyday Mindfulness and hit it off. They are world travelers and gave us some ideas for future travels.	One of our morning walks along the Ajijic Malecon we saw this lone fishermen with a dozen rods in the Lake, along with a bucket of fish. For some reason, expats very seldom fish on this lake.
As we were shopping at a local market we found this odd looking fruit, called Dragon Fruit and native to Southern Mexico. It is purple and very sweet.  China and Taiwan are now the largest exporters of this fruit.	The World Cup has captivated the world. We got caught up watching the US, Canada and Mexico men's team win their games to get into the Round of 16.  Let's hope that one of them breaks their winless history.
